Has anyone done this swap? Tacoma TRD seats in a FJ60? I was wondering how hard would it be to swap them out?

Which seats are you referring to? Need a picture. I googled and only found guys with Tacoma's putting TRD seat covers on their trucks.

They are out of a 2005 Tacoma. They look like these.

It can be done. I have one as my driver seat. Had to cut off the stock mounts as they hold the seat up too high. Tried welding the mounts from the factory seat onto the Tacoma seat first but it still set the seat too high to comfortably drive. I ended up bolting some custom bent/drilled pieces of metal as new mounts for them. Tracks are a lot longer than the factory 60 series seats so you have to cut the back of the tracks off and bend them to keep the bearings in place. Not the easiest seats to swap in, but doable.

I think this picture is with the 60 seat mounts still on. Made it difficult to get the clutch all the way pushed down and had to have the steering wheel tilted pretty far up to steer without hitting my legs. My final setup with the custom mount brackets is pretty comfortable.

Has anyone tried the Corbeau GTS II seats? Corbeau sells what they call a direct fit bracket. They even specify between the years when the floor humps changed so it might actually be a bolt in.

I've not tried the COrbeaus in a 60 but have put them in both an FJ Cruiser and an 88 4RNR. They are pretty straight forward and easy to install. On a side note, The adjustable tilt mechanism on one seat broke after 5 years of hard off road and street use. Corbeau replaced the mechanism for FREE. After 5 years!!!!!!! Hard to find better customer service than that.
