Hello,

I had to have the pinion bearings in the rear diff of my Tacoma replaced. I had a spare diff from my Tundra that I Installed so that I wasn't home bound, but that diff was a 3.90 and the front diff is a 4.56. The Tundra diff also used a different driveshaft flange pattern than the Tacoma so my driveshaft didn't fit up.

As a result, I had to run front wheel drive on my Tacoma for about 4 weeks, with the rear acting like a trailer. It's all put back together -the correct diff with 4.56 ratio is in the back axle.
Should I consider changing out the front diff fluid? Its running Nitro gears para- synthetic lube. I probably put about 1000 miles on the diff and did run it up to 65mph a couple times for 20-30 minutes. Total is probably 1200 miles on that front diff gear lube. Total about 2000 miles on the diff since gearset installation (500 miles on the initial gear lube.

Change it or run it?
