New to camper shells, but will other shells fit a tacoma? for instance a s-10 camper shell, or a ford ranger? Is it based on bed length, or specific model. Also is toyota bed size not standard? thanks

What yr is your tacoma and is it a single, extended, or double cab?
It all depends on what model years you're asking about. 95.5 to 04 ext cabs and regular cabs will be similar. 01-04 dbl cabs are smaller, and 05+ are completely different with several options from then to now. So let's start out with what you have, and maybe something will generate.

sorry for leaving out that info. I have a 96 tacoma single cab short bed.
Might also consider Softopper Model #TN73
I've had mine for just over a year now, and it's great. They used to cross reference some of the other compatible beds on that site, but it appears to have changed. I wanna say only the nissan was close to the same dimensions.
