Yesterday on a run outta Florida i happened to have my Toyocom ODB1 reader hooked up. I noticed that it shows a difference of about 150RPM compared to dash tacho.
At 2100 on the Toyocom the dash was showing about a quarter way between second and 3rd gradient marks (2250rpm)
At 3000 the difference was closer to 200rpm. At idle the toyocom showed 600rpm and dash showed 650rpm.
Is this just a calibration issue on the manual guage or is the RPM read from 2 different places (similar to coolant temp).
I had a Code 12 stored in memory which is why this perked my interest.
