Is there any parts other than the brakes that will be better on the cruiser off the 4 runner

what year 4Runner? 86+ has some good stuff, 85-older does too, but each is different.

Yes 86 and above are IFS

85 runner, I would keep:

t-case (resell it)
front CV driveshaft (resell or use down the road)
front knuckles/lockouts/birfields (stronger if your Cruiser is 78-older)
PS box (resale or PS conversion)
