How would/did any of you guys paint your switch knobs...like the white letters? Also, I'm trying to figure out how to run the cable to the transmission brake now that I've got a 5-speed and rear discs. Somehow there's got to be a change of direction and I'm afraid of the cable housing simply flexing back and forth at the curve when applied instead of pulling inline.

Thanks,

Butch

White model paint for the knobs lettering and then pour some simple green on a cloth (I prefer a pillow case cause it's smooth) and rub the knob over it to remove the paint that you got on any unwanted areas. It will take a little work. Make sure the paint is dry before doing the rub. I will let someone else chime in regarding the cabling issue.

Thanks for the idea. I've got a stock parking brake cable and just need to figure out how to connect it to the new parking brake on the TC.

I used white model paint and smeared it into the lettering with a tooth pick, then took a paper towel with acetone and wiped the front of the knobs while they were still wet. Didn't even remove them from the dash. Took 10 minutes tops for all of the knobs.

The key is one smooth deliberate wipe that is constantly using clean paper towel. Its a wipe and lift motion, clear as mud?
