So I’m curious if a right-sided driver seat would easily swap into the passenger side of a North American left hand drive 250…

I could use the thigh extension and lumbar support when I sit passenger. And yes I know there’s much cheaper solutions but it had me ponder…

Is it possible to get the full 8-way power seat with lumbar and thigh extension into the passenger side with full power…? I would think a right hand driver seat would work so the controls are reachable…

Toyota kind of skimped on this by not matching the driver and passenger seats.

If you are spending the money why not buy one from Australia or England the it would be set up for that like factory?

I guess that's what I was pondering. Would a England (UK) driver's seat, just bolt in and plug in to a US passenger seat...?

You'd need to review the FSM for the RHD vehicle with the power seat to see how it is powered and electronically-managed. And, assuming the LC250 has airbags in the seats, if the airbag systems vary between LHD and RHD vehicles. Toyota FSMs have thousands of pages, detail all of the systems, and how to troubleshoot them. If all of the "brains" are inside the seat, the airbags are the same, electrical connectors are the same, and it bolts in, in theory you'd just need to supply the RHD seat with an appropriate fused power source (likely via fuse tap). If the "brains" are elsewhere, or if the airbags are different, you'd be better off buying a vehicle with better front seats. Like an LX...or maybe the GX550 has them.

BUT, in theory a RHD power seat can be ordered via Partsouq or Megazip and shipped to your door. They can get almost any Toyota part. I ordered an JDM rear axle housing for my rig and got it shipped to my door earlier this year. This also requires sifting through Toyota international parts diagrams to identify the proper part number. And, I bet the seat would cost $2-3K USD plus shipping.

Better act now before de minims exemption kicks in, leaving you with a big tax bill to pay.

Any idea how to find FSM for new models? I have all the ones from my 62 still. But never stumbled on 200s or newer…

I think you can purchase a short-term subscription from Toyota and download them. Obviously I'd get them for the USDM and JDM/AUDM vehicles.
