Hey guys. I have a double cab ‘02 that I’ve decided to try and beef up the suspension - mostly due to the poor rear leafs. I do some FSRs but no real heavy wheeling.

What fairly reasonable cost options would I have to beef up and upgrade the shocks/suspension without a lift? A lift is not out to the question, but could I go with some HD shocks to tighten things up?

Curious to get your take. The key for me is “budget”! Thanks!

I’m happy with replacement no lift springs for my Nissan hardbody from General Spring.
Maybe get some Bilsteins or KYBs for shocks. Bilstein tend to be spendy though. I’d price them at Rock Auto.

I have not touched my springs yet but installing Bilstein 4600 all around. That should at least help with the 190k original shocks that are on it

What’s wrong with the rear springs ?
If the truck not sagging new shock should do the trick.

After installing new shocks all around I feel as if it has been brought back to a “new” state. I also replaced all of the hardware as well as new sway bar end links and new hardware for those. HTH
