Well, I just got a set of Hanna Custom Sliders on my 1997 FZJ80 (I will post pics soon). My rig has a slee rear bumper, ARB bullbar with M12K, dual batteries, rear drawers, lot of tools etc - - - so it is really heavy.

On the way home from the install of the sliders (which Hanna mentioned are about 100lbs each) and with the weight of three additional people in the car,, I noticed a shimmy coming from the front drivers side suspension. When going over potholes and small bumps, the suspesnion rattles in a BIG way. My initial thought was blown out shock, but I have Old Man Emu Heavy suspension in the front, medium in the rear and Old Man Emu shocks all around.

Now with just me in the car, it is still going on. I haven't lubed it in about 5,000 miles, could this have anything to do with it ? Any ideas ?

Thank you,

Matt

And Now......

Front tire wobbling like crazy on the highway. Could it be the mud I was in yesterday ? Notice the Hanna Custom Sliders !!! Got two other trucks stuck as I pulled them into the mud with my winch. Finally got a bulldozer to pull me out.

You got stuck in that?!!? Do you have lockers? I got to the frame way worse than that and my lockers in high range pulled me right out....well took some rocking and I had my slick 275/70's still on. lesson learned, will never take the 80 in mud......sucks to clean.

About the shakes, mine did the same thing...I think the rattle was mud on the exahust pipes for me. But a good cleaning fixed it. Did you check for any play in the steering parts, if you tried the wheel turning method to get unstuck you could have hurt some tie rod ends.
