This is the suspension on the JDM truck I just picked up for a LHD Conversion. I've never seen this lift system before and was hoping someone closer to Japan could identify it for me. I'm likely going to keep it as the shackles are super heavy duty and the leafs have a full military wrap on both ends. That and it's easier than swapping over my Belton kit for the same lift.

Thanks in advance

Those are called Keep Slant shackles. Keep Slant. My BJ 74 had them .

Hi All:

Those look to be anti-inversion shackles installed the wrong-way around!

But, looking at all the leaves in those spring packs perhaps that was now a problem! :p

I'd say you should pull one or two leaves from each spring pack, for better ride quality and suspension travel.

Regards,

Alan

Cool, Thanks. They look heavy but only have one more leaf than my Belton kit. The shackles look wrong but on the keep slant web site thats how they go. We'll see how they work out.

Thanks a ton

My truck sits HIGH as well.
