Yes anything is possible but your right more then likely that's the first place to start. If that drains it we can go from there.

I would check the battery cables and terminals and make sure there aren't any breaks or loose connections. Do 3FE's have fusible links like the 1FZE's? Check 'em along w/ associated fuses. Charge up the battery, start her up and get a voltmeter to see if the alternator is putting out 14+ volts. If not, then the alternator's brushes might need replacing which is cheap and easy to replace.
