... the 40 is as fixed as it's gonna get, according to Pat at Dick's Automotive. Thanks for the referral Phil!

It passes emissions, it can chirp the tires  and the low-heat / high-heat sputter thing is fixed. Pat did a bunch of stuff that the other guys missed and added fuel hard lines, fixed the fuel gauge, etc.

Oh and the oil leak? It's just the oil pan gasket, not the rear mail seal as first suspected. :bounce: I even have a spare!

Congrats Mark!!

I know its been a long, bumpy road for you but at least you still have most of your hair left....:hhmm:

We may be going wheeling with a couple other 40's on April 5th (Table Mesa probably) if you want to jump in. See me next time your in the area with your alleged 40 that Ive never really seen...I'd love to see the final product!

Well I MIGHT pick it up today and bring it by. We'll see. Since it would already be in the area...

Guys - Marks 40 really exists! I laid hands on it today. It even runs well....I was diggin' on the custom TBI air cleaner cover

I got a chuckle out of the 2 years expired "temp" plate still on it

That's because it took that long for a couple hacks to hack it and kinda fix it and then for Pat to finish it.

You didn't mention the custom fuel hardlines with hold-down brackets and stuff... :grinpimp:

Oh and yes it runs... very well.

Now let's see... lockers, an Orion or Toybox, tube doors, winch, some kind of rear tire carrier... :hhmm:

Pats a quiet guy that knows his stuff. When I talked with last night he said something about chirpping the tires:confused:I have known Pat for a long time and I didnt know he knew how to chirp tires much less in a 6cyl 40:popcorn:

He said something like "It'll give Phil's 40 a run for it's money" whatever that means. ;)
