This is what I needed to hear.

Knowing what I know now, I would wait until the rack needed replacing and then just have it done at the same time.

I'm sure it improves the steering a lot but it wasn't enough of a problem for me to justify what was involved. We'll see.

I have my whole front end out of the truck at the moment anyway so I figured while I'm in there I would do it. I really don't think having the front diff and CV's out made it any easier. If it did I can't fathom what it would be like with them in.

One good thing to come out of this, I had the Dealer change my steering rack out a couple of years ago and I've felt guilty ever since for not doing it myself.

I can now sleep knowing that I had made the right decision. HAHA!
