:crybaby:needed help please,i am putting on 33" super swamper tsl bias tire on my 96 fj 80.don't know what air pressure should it be for 10 miles highway to work everyday in winter and don't have any idea how good they are on snows and also planning to heat iron grooves the threads. Thanks any advice

Bias Swampers are not a good road tire in any situation. They will wear VERY quickly, get flat spots when parked, handle very poorly in all weather conditions, but will be magical in the woods. If you HAVE to run them on the road, fill them to the max rated cold pressure as specified on the sidewall and do not exceed 60 MPH for any length of time.

plus the weight of the 80 will eat them up so damn fast and the full time 4wd will cause even more wear. expect around 15K miles out of them and thats assuming you rotate and keep the pressure right. i have seen bias ply tires last less than 5K mile son a heavy truck with bad alignment and a rear locker.

Enjoy riding on a washboard from now on. But great in the mud.

:cheers:thanks everyone for the helps and advices, now i know and i am going to try this set swamper for n.y.'s winter to see how they are and will post some pics soon.

I'm planning on going to bias ply when I get my 37's... I will keep everybody posted on how many years they last!

I used to daily drive a full-size Chevy pickup with bias Swampers. The only time they really bothered me was when the tire was cold (after sitting overnight) in the winter... You could see the tires were egg shaped until they warmed up!
