Sunglass Holder In Overhead Console (?)

Recently bought a 98' LC- In the overhead console there is an insert to house a garage door opener, which I dont need. On several other Toyotas, the vehicle comes with this type of insert as well as a 2nd insert which is a sunglass holder. (Sequoia for instance) Tried to order this insert but my dealer says there wasnt one available on the LC. Anyone have more info? I believe that this vehicle came with both, and my dealer cant find it in the part system- Any info (part number??) would be awesome!

My 99 has the garage door opener space, useless for me. I'd also be interested in a sunglasses holder, but I remember it being kinda shallow last time I looked?

It's not that shallow, I don't think. If you look at the 2003/2004 LC, you will see that they feature the homelink garage door openers and a sunglass holder. It's a feature I've been wanting as well. I was hoping to find an 03/04 in a junk yard and snag it. I think there are hookups for it already, at least in the 01 I think I've seen it.

Well, I have resigned to the fact that there is no original sunglass holder for this rig. I tore through the owner's manual and nada, zip, zilch... I think Im going to pull of the Sequoia or Tundra parts and see if by some strange chance it might fit, although I highly dout it will (thatd be waay to easy- haha)

gopriest, you're wrong. Go look at the 03/04. They have an original sunglass holder. So you can order it, or try to find it in a junk yard.
