Like the title reads, after many years of absolutely loving my ARB 2500 awning, the last camping trip sitting under it in the rain, it leaked!

I was thinking there has to be some great products out there that I can spray, wipe, roll or whatever onto the awning fabric to renew the water proofing? Anyone have any suggestions?

I was hoping there is a better product out there than the spray on waterproofing you can get at Walmart.

I'm not familiar with the awning. Is it nylon? As long as it's not canvas there is a trick were you thin down 100% silicone sealant (in the caulking tube) with mineral spirits and dunk the whole thing in the bucket. I did this with a failing rain fly on my 25 year old Marmot tent (yeah I know maybe time for a new tent) and it seems to have worked.

Of course YouTube is your friend here.

There are many products out there designed to waterproof tents. Camp Dry would be one.

Nikwax. In Alaska and have been using their products for at least 20 years. I use their down wash, leather proof, TX direct, and tech wash all the time. Their “proof” products are top notch.

ok I went with never wet based on a post from expedition portal. We will see how it works.

Same here. It has worked great for me with my tent rain flys

I used the nikwax on old boots. I just thought maybe there was a newer product out there. If the never wet doesn't work then I'll try the nikwax.
