Rex, glad I found this thread. I have a 74 pig with factory AC. It definitely needs charging. Don't know if it has any leaks or not.

Can you guys do the Freeze 12? And possibly check the system?

Don

Hi Don,
Our shops use R12-no Freeze 12. An R12 service is $29.95 + refrigerant. For your money, you get a through examination of the A/C system, performance, leak and pressure checks. It's well worth the money to get an accurate analysis of the system. Here's a phone # if you want to schedule an appt. 795-1111 talk to Bob. If you have any questions, you can always call me @ 918-3604.
Thanks,
Rex

Thanks. Scheduled for Friday morning.

Hi Jonathan,

A new Denso compressor is $280.28, the drier is $20.94, the expansion block is $43.60 and a o-ring set is $7.63. These are all Denso except the seal kit, which is Santech. I do carry all these parts in stock. If price is a concern, I have the drier and expansion block in new aftermarket parts as well, at a noticeable price advantage. If you need the condenser or evaporator, let me know, I do carry them also.

Thanks,
Rex

I can get the short aftermarket drier through my shop. Just put a new TXV and evap in last year.
Clutch bearing went out catastrophically. With over 300k miles, I figger a new cmpressor is saafer than putting a new snout and seal kit on mine.
My cost on a new non-Denso compressor through my shop is over $300. And we don't even deal with remans.
Once I get a decent check again I'll order one up from you. Thanks.
