update; I had surgery on the arm to install 3 plates to fix the head of the left distal radius which was fractured into 4+ pieces. one plate across the back of my hand will be removed in s few months. left arm out of commission for 12 weeks. wishfully thinking my back is getting better quickly.
Tuesday nite was hell, slept fairly well last nite , waking like clockwork for the meds. I have one of them cubic sponge braces and it is great. thanks for the support guys
Use it as much as you can. flexibility, range of motion are paramount. if you can keep the atrophy to a minimum and not let the scar tissue fuse, you'll be better off in the long run.
so...for the gory details...basically I fell from 10 feet up, had one foot on the roof and one on the ladder when the ladder slid out...I landed on a slick deck . one leg, ass and wrist took the impact. knocked the wind out of me and thought i might have lost bowel control. kinda rolled onto the ground and crawled a bit to stretch my spine and get my lungs back.. rolled onto my back and new it was bad....
today I got my stitches out...and will be having another surgery to remove the rod from the back of my hand in a few months.....
xrays next week to see how my back is healing, right now pain is minimal...
Please tell me this is from one fall. I read your earlier post (other thread) and thought you had another fall. Either way... gruesome dude. Get well soon.
