I had big dreams of a Dana 60 front and a 6BT Cummins under the hood of this one, but I need a truck bed more than I need to modifiy this thing. I'm about 70% done with a interior renovation in my house and don't have any time to do anything other than drive this thing.
'93 K2500 3/4-Ton 4x4
GM 9.25 IFS & 14-Bolt Rear with 3.73's
454 TBI EFI & 4L80E Auto OD
265/75/16 Nitto Terra Grapplers on OEM 16" Steel Wheels
New Radiator, Water Pump, Belt, Hoses, AC Compressor, Alternator, Brake Pads, Shocks, Steering Idler, Fan Clutch.
Loaded with all power options (seats, windows, mirrors) Has 4 Leather Captains Chairs and Leather 3rd Row Seat. Front & Rear Air Conditioner that blows very COLD and the heater is HOT!
This was a conversion by Anaheim Conversions in Houston, so it's got custom center console, custom overhead consoles, mood lighting, tv, vcr, cd changer, amp, wood grain trim, etc.
Has fog lights on front bumper, and mini spotlights under rear bumper, front & rear receiver hitches, has 4ga power wire with Anderson Quick Disconnects ran to each bumper for winch power or easy jump starting.
Oil always changed at 3k intervals using Valvoline VR1 20w50 during the summer, and 10w-40 during the winter. I also only use WIX oil filters. The air filter, fuel filter, and pcv valve are changed every 6k or two oil changes. The coolant, brake fluid, and PS fluid is drained/extracted, flushed, and replaced with new every 6k as well. I flushed the trans and both diffs at 190k miles, currently has 192k.
This thing is all stock, in great shape for a '93. Interior is clean, arm rests on rear seats are a little worn, carpet could stand to be shampooed and the headliner is coming down over the front seats. I was quoted $140 for a new headliner locally.
Never abused, never offroaded. I've personally put it in 4WD about 5 times, once to get unstuck in mud when pulling a trailer, and a handful of times to make sure it worked. I had some issues with the 4x4 actuator engaging, but after taking it out and cleaning it during a diff fluid flush, it has worked fine since. It has always been adult owned here in Texas, and you can tell. Exterior is in great shape, the paint shines. There is some sun fading on the roof, but it's kind of masked by the roof marker lights. Very minor little nicks & scratches elsewhere. Only body damage is behind drivers rear tire, where a blowout by a previous owner damaged the lower rea quarter. I was planning to cut that part out and install custom wrap-around tube bumpers, but never got there. Wheels are sprayed with black Plasti-Dip, can easily be removed for the OEM silver finish.
Truck runs & drives great. I installed a B&M Shift+ kit to firm up the shifts since I was towing alot and didn't want any slippage. It's thirsty around town, but will surprise you on a road trip. I drive it to work daily, about 30 miles a day. There is a leak from the O-Ring on the Hydroboost Accumulator that leaks PS Fluid. It's an easy fix, it's just never been on the high priority list. Pass side rear axle seal also leaks, but doesn't drip. I was going to do a rear disc conversion, and never worried about it, it doesnt drip, just slow moisture buildup. There is some slop in the steering, and I have a new-in-box pitman arm to tighten it up, just haven't had a spare few hours to swap it out. I'll even toss in the socket and puller if you need it.
I'd really like to keep it and build it up, but I have an F250 that's blown into a million pieces, a '53 Chevy project, a '61 Falcon, and a '58 Dragster project, so I'll never get around to messing with it. I really need a truck bed so I can haul stuff to the dump and what not and I don't want to mess up the interior on the 'burb.
I'm in North Austin, TX. I'm interested in trading for just about any 4x4 pickup or 2dr 4Runner with the removeable top. I might be persuaded into an Fj60/62, even though I need a truck, I just have a soft spot for those things. I like Jeeps and 40's too. I'm open to other trades, but since this is my daily driver, the trade will need to be road worthy as is and ready for a 30 mile daily commute.
I've tried to be very honest about everything, although I'm sure I've missed some details, please contact me if you have any questions. I surely don't like any surprises, and figure you don't either.
I'm asking $3800 Cash. Will trade up or down. PM me if you are interested or have a possible trade offering...
