Climate Control

Right now in SLC the temps are about perfect. 55* when I head to work in the morning and 75-80 in the afternoon. I usually set my climate temp to 72-74. Whats annoying me is that when I get going in the morning with the outside temps lower than what I've set the controller to the system blows warm air out to me even when I have CC set to "off". I have to change the air from outside to recirculate but I still get some air blowing on me, only a little but still. Then later in the day I turn the climate control on for my highway drive home and the system reverts back to outside air, this isn't an issue now because outside temps are higher than what I want inside but its that automatic switch that will annoy me in the morning the next day.

The other thing with the climate control that bothered me all summer is that it only blows out from the dash vents and not the floor vents. I know that I can manually change the distribution but then it bypasses the climate control function.

Tire Sensors

With the lower nighttime temps the PSI has been dropping in my tires. I filled them back up above to where they were set (set at 40 PSI) but the stupid dash light won't turn back off. I can't remember the sequence so I have to dig through my manual to remember how to reset it again. Why doesn't the computer recognize that I've filled the tires back up and it can turn off on its own?

Perhaps this doesn't belong here but this is the stuff that have been bothering me for the past while. I doubt that there are ways for me to resolve them but I just felt like ranting a little this morning. All in all the LX has been doing fantastic for me and maybe thats why this stupid little things have been bugging me so much...because I haven't had to deal with bigger issues. Anyway, I'm done complaining for now.

The AC in my 2002 LX470 can really cool the cabin.
Like you, I find the Climate Control to act kinda "strange".
Sometimes it blows out warm air even in the middle of Summer.
Othertimes it seems to overly cool. Seems to me like it should
reduce the fan air flow better than it does.

Someone a few months ago suggested that I pull the lower
dash panel on the drivers side and see if there is a hose
disconnected. Haven't done that yet.

That was me. DO IT. I hated climate control until I found that loose hose and now its awesome.

I've had my dash apart a few times and the hose has always been connected like it is supposed to be, my problem seems to be a "feature" rather than a "flaw."

As for the tire pressure. Is the system supposed to reset when PSI is back up above the set level? In my previous vehicle ('13 Wrangler) it took driving down the road to send the PSI to the computer so the spare never reported back to the system. I guess I assumed it was the same for the LX but I'll check the spare though and see if anything changes.

Stupid things that annoy me about my LX:

Little creaks and rattles. Not very Lexus-like. I don't doubt the solidity of my LX, but my BIL's 2005 4Runner has a quieter interior.
Seems to be coming from the PS seat. Another one from somewhere in the cargo area.
