I'm trying to replace the oil seals on my third members.
Its the nut on the drive shaft coupling
I have knocked out the little dimple thats knocked into it and still will not budge!!
I even bought a blow torch to see if I can heat the nut up and still nothing.....
I then bought a 24" plumber wrench and a long break bar 1/2" and will not move!!!

Any other ways to get a very stubborn nut off? I'm about to rip my arms off I swear.. I guess I need to get a bigger wrench?

A half-inch air impact wrench works every time.

You need more leverage if you are trying to remove this nut by hand. Get a longer breaker bar.

Are you talking about the stake nut. I usally drive a nail set or something under it. Then chaulk the wheels or the truck will move. Put a pipe on the end of your your 1/2" ratchet, and it will move.

A plumbers wrench has no bussiness being anywhere near a land cruiser. Get the correct size socket before you make a mess of things.

Good luck

I grabbed a 1/2" drive breaker bar that I didn't care for very much, and put my floor jack under the end of it. Piece of cake.
