Stripped nut on exhaust manifold, won't come off. @**$#)@

Call me a consumer but these new starters being smaller than the originals makes me nervous.

I finished up the install today. It all went together OK and didn't catch fire or have any exhaust leaks when I started it up. So mark that project off the list. I would still recommend removing the exhaust manifold for access to remove the starter.

I didn't need any of the 8 exhaust manifold studs I bought, nor the three exhaust flange studs. Let me know if anyone needs them. Also, what are people doing with their old starters?

Starters can be rebuilt. I would find a shop that does that and donate it to them. Otherwise strip it and recycle what you can.
