Stratton Mountain Resort in Southern Vermont has just finalized plans to host a Stratton/Toyota event here at Stratton August 25-26. The event will be called the “Toyota Trail Challenge” and will include 2 days of off-road driving instruction (featuring various challenge courses and features, classroom style instruction, vendor set up, kids activities, an opportunity for participants to drive to the summit and more…) The vision of the event is to host a Toyota Off-Road Rally, where participants will bring their personal 4WD Toyota vehicles up to the mountain (Toyota is the official vehicle of Stratton Mountain). The base area near the gondola will be given over to vendor set-up and display. The FJ Trail Team is slated to head this way, and they can give demos and lessons on a few teaching features that we will build in the main base area. Participants will be allowed to drive to the summit of the mountain, another big pull. We also have some sort of dinner/ BBQ party on Saturday night. There would not be a fee to set up, but vendors would be responsible for their own lodging, meals, etc. while they are here.

If your company would be interested in this event, please e-mail a response back ASAP to

STR-Marketing@intrawest.com

Thank you,

Do we as a club want to do something with this?

only 25 miles from my house

Damn it. Thats the Sunday we are having my brothers batchelor party. Maybe I can head up there on the Saturday.

Not sure I can get my permission slip signed.

Just found out my brother in law is having some engagement party BS that weekend. Marrying his 1st wife.

How about a joint YT/TLCA booth? Does TLCA have materials and a contact for this type of thing? I think it would be cool to have a presence both on the trail and in the vendor area.

Because we all know Toyota has a deep rich 4WD history................... ten or twenty years, maybe, if you believe 'em. ;)

Anybody interested? Should we re-respond to her?

I'd be willing to help. Sounds like fun. A joint booth would be a great idea. Either way I plan to attend but would man a booth for sure.

Dave what do ya think? I think it would be great PR for the club. I'm willing to lend a huge hand as I'm sure others would too. Great oppurtunity to get the YT word out to those "newer" Toyota owners. And hook a few more into the cruiser cult.

They just contacted me

Looks fun, I might go up for a day to check it out. Anyone else? August 25-26.
