I recently acquired a Middle East-spec LC100.

I am looking to change tires and would really like to try the BFG AT KO2, but having trouble finding them in my size: 275/65-17. This it the official OEM size per my manual. No 18" is mentioned in my manual, only 16" as "the other" OEM size.

Browsing the forums, it seems everyone is running either 16 or 18".
And browsing online for ANY tire, 275/65/17 is clearly not very common as a size.

My rims are in great shape, so why not stick with the 17"?

Discuss.

In 2003 17" wheels with 275/65R17 tires became the standard size here (the US) with the 18" wheel/tire package optional. Not sure why you're having trouble finding it. Tire Rack has them.
Thanks, I should point out, I am not in the US....

But still interesting that not many people are running 17's.

I think most of the trucks here were initially bought my soccer moms or new fathers that wanted to avoid a minivan and they optioned them out so you mostly find them with the 18s.
