Have an 08 200 series that I keep at our place in North Cali (I live in the Bay Area). I haven't been traveling much because of the Rona, so I've left it sitting for 2-3 months at a time and only driving it for a day or two when I check up on the house.

It's connected to a trickle charger for the battery so it doesn't die.

It has about 175k miles with all the fluids changed pretty regularly.

Do I need to worry about the gas breaking down or moisture getting into anything? I'm going to return it to DD status and sell my 4Runner to my old man and was wondering if I need to do anything to it.

For reference it's been driven like 20-30 miles every other month for since March.

With my FJ Cruiser, I used to have to leave it in storage for years at a time. I would use PRI-G (it’s like a way better version of stabil) for the fuel and left it almost empty. I latter learned that you want to leave the tank almost full, so that way there is less space for air, and thus less space for moisture in that air to contaminate the fuel. But... you also need to keep the fuel itself from breaking down. Either way, with that mess up from me, I never had any issues, and that engine is just as perfect as an ICE could ever be.

I didn’t even use a trickle charger. Just had a Northstar AGM, and it didn’t care. Just worked.

So 2-3 months, you could drop some PRI-G in her and at least freshen up the fuel in the tank. The fuel in the lines will just have to be what it is. I think you will be fine with just a few little things, one of which you are already doing.
