Stoney Lonesome gettin' better

Some FB fotos is showing that CAOS cut a new trail up at Stoney recently. Possibly this past weekend. Looks decent with rocks and junk.
Anyone here participate and could report on the matter?

Sounds like a good excuse to do another ride up there. It has gotten better every time I have been. I have always thought it should keep getting better as the dirt washed away on the trails.

I don't know what options they have for camping...I know they have some cabins.

Assume they have recovered from torndao damage and back to full operation?

I think the park will get better as time moves on, I've not been over to the park in some time.

Ill go up for a saturday and watch yall tear your stuff up. If we can camp then Ill bring the fam up and we can stay Friday and saturday night, any time other than the weekend of GSMTR.

Sounds like Durhamtown (or at least the old Durhamtown) trails. Is there a lot of red clay?

In parts.... A lot of sand mixed in from what I remember.

Kind of mix of sandy "dirt" and clay as I recall. I live in cullman some 15-20 miles from the park. The park is pretty close to the community of cold springs.
