STOLEN: (Not Toyota)

This is a close friend's 1986 Chevy Silverado 2WD that was stolen from his driveway near Parallel Parkway and I-635 in KCK on Tuesday night 1/8/19 to sometime before 6:45 AM on Wed. 1/9/19.

Look for a broken driver's wing window and shattered steering column.

They rolled it out of the driveway and down the street before starting or towing because it has fairly loud exhaust.

I'm just asking folks to keep an eye out for it and let me or KCK police know if they have seen it.

I appreciate all eyes in the area!

Well.....They found it this past weekend.

Located about 77th and Troost in a residential neighborhood.

I'll post pics after he sends them to me.......

No hood, engine, transmission, radiator, AC core, stereo. Tore up the dash and interior to get the stereo out. Steering column busted up, steering wheel broken.

All the glass is intact except the driver's wing window.

Wiring harnesses were cut, dual exhaust unbolted, but still under the truck.

Rear axle still in it. All four wheels still on it and holding air, but the matching spare tire is missing. Front and rear bumpers still on it and appear to be straight. Rear view mirrors and doors in good shape. They left the door speakers in it and didn't tear up the doors.

All in all, a relatively easy rebuild. Body is still in pretty good shape. Only one ding on RF fender and possibly a cracked grille. Bed and tailgate still intact.

It appears they put about 80 miles on it from the time it left.

I'm guessing this was done with a rollback based on how "clean" it all was done.
