I'd say I'll keep my eyes pealed, but given the color, I don't think a guy could miss it. If you haven't done so yet, you should add the photos to the chat thread.

I will keep my eyes open to

Sorry to hear about your baby blue cruiser. Love the color BTW.

I have a funny suspicion it will be used to haul off stolen goods in a burglary or just a simple joy ride.

Put out a reward for it. Take the picture and send it to every single 4x4 club. May even send it to a few gas stations in the area. Did it have a full tank of fuel?

Was this a retro job or a new paint job?

The paint was done in the last two years and was really done nicely, door jambs but not under the hood. Cameras in front of Lowe's recorded me parking and walking in, then pans away...........
I am having convulsions and using the CL search tool some one else posted. Thanks to all you local west coasters for keeping alert for me. I'd love to get her back. If I don't, I will talk to this guy in Bend, soon....FJ60 Toyota Landcruiser with Chevy V8

Although the seller may not be directly culpable for the theft it may be related. Were your doors locked or was there broken glass? If not, somebody could have used a key. Perhaps not the seller, but a deadbeat kid or friend he had previously loaned it to.

I have a 85 and as far as the door goes I can use any of my toyota keys to open it....wont work in the ignition...but can get the doors open.

Having come from up there (Normandy Park) there are aot of good Cruiser people up there.....they will keep both eyes open for you

But brother I do feel your pain.......:crybaby:

I can almost bet I can open up any 80's Toyota with one of my(dozen or so) Cruiser keys, there are only 30 or so key combo's...80's vintage Toyota are EASY to steal, had our 88 stolen like this......its a really crappy feeling. We did get ours back a week latter

Will keep my eyes open in the Harbor

Perhaps not the seller, but a deadbeat kid or friend he had previously loaned it to. A public parking lot at 8:15pm is a pretty ballsy theft if you have to take the time to hot wire the thing. Not to mention, FJ6xs are not very high on the most frequently stolen cars lists. It is neither new nor does it have a bunch of parts interchangeable with numerous other vehicles.

Of course, if maybe you left the keys in the visor or under the floor mat (the first places punks look) it could just be some kid.

Good luck - hope it comes home safe.

Recovered Smurfy Blue!

This monring came the word that my Blue FJ60 was sitting in Tacoma, I got the location and drove out to it. Called 911, waited on the street for the cops to come, they released it to me. There is 500+ miles added to her, the dash is ripped out and stereo gone, there is oil all over the place, to cover fingerprints I guess. And what's wierd is, they didn't jimmy the door lock or the ignition, perhaps had a similair Toyota Key or ???? Anyway, thanks to all on here who consoled and offered to keep their eyes open for me. You guys are great. :steer::hhmm::cheers:
