I might be in the Berkshires this weekend and thought I'd like to find a stocker friendly trail or two. Any suggestions?

your best bet is to get a good map and go to look for the class 6 (or is it 4) roads. either way, the "unimproved" ones as dave says in his soon to be infamous toyota trails interview.

or, just meet us sunday morning in central mass!

I'd much rather meet up with you guys on Sunday than be at my Mother-in-laws birthday party, but I don't really have a choice.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check out a map. Any suggestions on a good one that shows unimproved roads?

Your best bet IMOP is to join a club and talk to the members/leaders about some legal wheeling trails. (if you havent already) Your probly not going to get much responce from asking on a genral public 'board as most wheelers like to keep the trails as un-populated as possible. No offence but alot of the older trails in the NE have been closed because of people 'picking up a map' and having at it. Wheel legal!

For safety, do not wheel alone. Minimum should be 3 vehicles but at least 2.

It's no fun getting stuck or breaking something on a trail, even a class VI road and having to walk somewhere for help.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I'm not looking to test the limits of my truck at this point. I'll probably just find something that isn't paved, pack a lawn chair and a couple cigars and call myself a man :)

Joe knows! Been there, done that!
