i had a quick search couldnt find much info..

was there ever stock LSD, front and/or rear, for the 60/62 series?
any market; aus, JDM, canadia etc

how do they compare to lunchbox lockers (lockrite, aussie.. etc)?

I believe there was. But a limited slip is just that. Limited. They help a lot in the ice but not when true traction is needed..

Kon , all aussie cruisers had the LSD in the rear from 84- as far as I know but it only has a 14% bias to the RH rear wheel when you need it so its not really useful, but better than nothing.
Now yours is not a aussie spec vehicle so you would need to go to birfield.com and open up the FAQ and find the axle decoder.
You need to get the info of the aluminium plate in the engine compartment.

No front LSD ever and most of the JDM are not LSD

Yap .. the number 5 at end of the axle code means LSD, in all cases only for the rear diff ..

So are the same for front and rear .. and you can put in both ends. I thought if you are not playing hard and you can get those LSD cheap .. go for it, rebuild them and adjust ..

But if you like really hard off road .. go with lockers .. also aftermarket LSD are at the same livel of price that any Detroit locker ..
