Too much caster will make the truck drive really nice and straight down the road and result in good stable handling, so no worries there. However, too much caster can introduce vibrations from your front driveshaft, or potentially cause interference between your tie rod and radius arms.

What brand caster plates did you get?

For what it's worth, I'm running Landtank plates designed for a 4" lift on a vehicle with 50mm (2") lift springs (measures closer to 3" by the measuring tape), and it works awesome, no problems for me.

Not caster plates, caster brackets from manefre, I bought them used. my off-road is not rock crawling, I live in south eastern bc with 100’s os sq km of untouched mountains and old unused fire and survey roads so I’m not worried about hanging up on rocks

Ahh, well then the main peril of using brackets too big for your lift is that they will drag on everything offroad :hillbilly: Tie rod clearance won't be an issue, but vibes are possible. I would at least remove your caster bushings and put in standard bushings before putting on the bracket.

That’s the plan, I’m not worried about it dragging on stuff, again not a rock crawler. And if this doesn’t work I will go to plates as the bushings don’t provide enough correction in my experience. I’m ordering some new bushings from Joey and will report back after the brackets are on.
thanks peter

Very common in combo with a "J" lift. I ran them without issue for years. They aren't your fancy King or Icon and whatnots, but they work.

forgive the side track - will 315's/35s fit with no modification with stock/OME stock lift? how about with an aggressive negative offset wheel?

Fit yes, rub yes.

Do you know what springs/coils go with these shocks?
Might need to go a little heavier soon to compensate winch & bumper!
Thanks
