I have a stock-height FJ40; original springs.

I have steel rims for it; Vintiques Smoothies - 15x6, so just 1/2" wider rims than a stock steel rim.

I want some tires for it that have not such an aggressive tread, but rather a more on-road type of tread.

I also love love love the doughnut tire look. By this, I mean the sidewall rounds out nicely, like a balloon. Sort of opposite of the skinny pizza cutter look.

I'd pretty much settled on a 235 75 15, but I have not pulled the trigger yet.

What do you guys suggest? What size should I get?

Notice how these tires have that nice roundy-outy sidewall?

That's what I have on my 74 FJ40. Maxxis 751's. So far they have 7 years on them and going strong.....
