Searched classifieds, some old 60s and 80s threads that were sold. Anyone have an AM/FM stock radio they are willing to part with? Ill throw some cash your way. The radio I have is AM only, want to keep the stock look.

I havent torn into it yet, but can someone advise what years the stock connections stayed the same? This is for the 1990 hzj75 troopy

No worries, just glad you had one, i have my hands full getting rid of superfluous wiring to lights and switches that dont exist anymore. Im pretty sure you are doing me a favor, so its on your time table.

Your experience unfortunately isn't unique. (My Experience)
WIRES EVERYWHERE....
In addition to the radio that doesn't seen to work in North America, there is a pop out video screen that also doesn't seem to work. There were 4 small antennas mounted in the 4 corners of the interior (have no idea why) and in addition there are numerous wires above and below the carpet. All of these wires will be removed once it determined that they are no longer powered or important. ( don't want to inadvertently activate the ejection seat).
Moral of the story ..... When you install electronic do-dads in your Cruiser, draw a schematic on a napkin and stick it in the glovebox.

Andrew -

I found it - nice and clean 12 volt unit with North American frequencies, but no wiring to match. Don't know which post is which, so rather than blowing up your radio, how about I just mail this to you and if it works, pay me something appropriate?

For those that are interested, this is going to go in as well
Mark III - Bluetooth Audio Stereo Radio for Vintage Classic Cars

This will enable me to use the stock radio and have bluetooth for a more modern swing.
Next steps is to either build or find overhead console with speakholes similar to
Car Consoles & 4WD Storage Drawers - Department of the Interior - overhead consoles, roof consoles, custom built consoles, 4WD interiors, storage systems, vehicle consoles, radio console, dashboard pod, four wheel drive.

they are pricey but give good ideas on building your own.

Gah ward, im sorry for wasting your time. Finally had the time to pull my junk and the pins are small compared to yours. I am kicking myself that i didnt do it sooner.

Small plug, note notching
