Just cut holes in floor so it drains back out. I ended up with several inches of water in my floor on the attempted crossing I backed out of, but I have rubber mats and no jute under them.

Looks great! One question for all as an added safety measure would you add a 12v bilge pump to the inside of your truck?

or better yet stay out of 5 ft deep water crossings.

I was thinking along the lines of Das boot. I cannot help it it's the engineer in me. I blame my Dad as he loved tools cars and tinkering

Not directly Cruiser related, but I wonder if my eldest daughter is recognizable? The last year she attended GSMTR with was '08. Since her husband has a 4Runner that he is building up in stages for the trails, I am hopeful that she may make future events. Watch and wait now.

that's a lot of firewood for gsmtr, gonna cut and split all by yourself? :rimshot:

diggin' the gooseneck

Damn Larry, you clean up nice!

Sean, Thanks, but per the :princess: I barely got passing marks. 29 years ago when I last wore a tux, I was carrying less weight and no snow on the roof. She held me to that standard. :deadhorse:

Ha ha I did get about 5 ricks out of the tops. i plan on taking these to the lumber yard tomorrow afternoon, they are walnut so hopefully ill get some money out of them. Still have one more butt log, I thought it might be a bit too heavy on this load. Thanks on the trailer Ted.

Here is most of the wood out of the tops. 24 ft trailer, yet to be busted.Quit a bit of wood for next winter.

@htburnett I'm gonna have to start stockpiling wood at the farm soon myself. That is a nice haul, from your place or elsewhere? Those walnut logs should bring a few doll hairs at the mill.

I also hear I got spotted east-bound-and-down this morning.

Yes all from my place. The guy that leases the fields mentioned that they were docking his soy beans because of the walnuts. Might as well make a little money and get some fire wood.

... The guy that leases the fields mentioned that they were docking his soy beans because of the walnuts. ...

Hunter, Could you explain this? We probably have different meanings for the same terms.

From my days hauling our crops to the elevator, the grain would get docked if there were unwanted substances in the grain. It was common for some weed seeds and trash to pass through the screens in the combine with the soybeans. If the trash exceeded the allowances, it would result in docking and some fees to have the grain screened again at the elevator to remove the unwanted. Therefore, are walnuts being pulled into the combine with the soybeans, then the combine shelling the walnuts and passing the walnuts into the bin with the soybeans?

Or are the walnut trees along the fence lines depriving the soybeans of water and nutrients, plus interfering with the equipment? Hence, your tenant is decrementing the tillable acreage by some amount to account for the losses due to the walnut trees? Oak trees in our fence rows would do that (stunt crops out in ~60 foot radius around the tree). Thanks

[Sorry about being such a farm nerd on such a detail, but I never was able to wash all the dirt out of my ears]

Your fine Larry. They were being pulled into the combine with the soy beans.

Hunter, Got it. Thanks

PS I would push back on this in the future. It is not the landlord's responsibility to make accommodation for a combine that is not properly adjust for efficient harvesting of beans. It is the tenant's responsibility for the harvesting, which includes proper adjustment and operation of the combine.
Might be viewed as being a hard arse, but the facts and truth are just that. You can wear Captain Obvious' cape and tights for this one.
Cheers:beer:
