I need to reset the check engine light. I was told that the efi fuse will accomplish this. Before I go tracing wires, could someone point me in the right direction on this. My service manual has not arrived 5 weeks and counting.....Oh well got my money back and it will be free I guess I can't complain too much....

Tracing wires??

Doesn't the fuse panel cover identify each fuse?

Also you can alternatively pull the EFI relay ("Where's that", he says :D) or just pull the negative battery cable.

What year ya got, anyway?

1996 lx, Is this a simple fuse to pull in the fuse box, or is it under the hood. I really haven't familiarized myself with these yet. When ever I get a vehicle I just like to have some reading material infront of me before I tinker with anything. The way these computers are these days. I would rather be on the safe side. btw is there a trick to the fuse panel cover. I can not get the damn thing on for the life of me. What luck

While someone comes to your rescue on the fuse cover (you mean you got it off but it won't go back on?), I got another question for ya: What code are you clearing? Did you retrieve it and repair the problem, or are you just wanting to clear it and see if it comes back?

Good luck,

Curtis

Fuse location is in the owners manual. In the fuse box on the DS under the hood, IIRC. Circuit relay is also located there.

Pull the fuse titled EFI from the fuse box underneath the hood on the driver's side.. when you open up the box, the location of each fuse and what they are for is pictured

I had a low catayst pressure code set about a week ago, I had an earlier post. I one want to see if it sets hard again, and if it does I plan on pulling the cat and getting a new exhaust system put in, maybe a header if I can find a reasonable on. I haven't done enough research yet, just had the truck a month or so. If it doesn't comeback, then I will just leave it be for a while as the truck is running fine has decent pressure when you cover it with a gloved hand. I do not see any leaks present on a visual inspection. It may just be plugged up. I will see. It would help if I had a owners manual.(bank repot). I am waiting on one of those as well. I will see if I can find a copy of the pages somewhere on the web. btw forgive my spelling and grammar in this post and the previous one's working graves I tend to get loopy and careless at times. Thanks
