My saw has been siting since June and was running fine. After starting it up, it will not idle down. Look at the fuel take vent and tried to adjust the carb but still runs at fast idle.

Thanks D'Animal,

I checked the linkage after I ran the idle screw all the way out(and had to remove the air filter holder) The linkage looks like it is where it should be.

I'll check the fuel line.

Pulled the fuel line out and it looked good. I blew air through the fuel filter and removed the side panel to get a better look at the fuel tank vent. When everything was put back together and re-started, it is now running fine! I think that the tank vent may have been the problem as I tried to clean it from inside the fuel tank originally.

Spoke too soon!

Had it running about 10 seconds last night & it seemed to be running fine.

Today I started it. It ran for 15 seconds and died. I have spark at the plug. I do notice that there is some gas at the top of the fuel tank where I pulled the fuel line thru. I don't know if I flooded it so I'll let it sit tonight and try again tomorrow.

Any chance the impulse line is kinked? Are you using fresh gas?
