I just got my MS182 and haven't even cut anything with it yet. After watching a lot of reviews of this saw, it is pretty clear that it has been "woked" to meet emission standards. I decided to enlarge the muffler hole and remove the spark arrester. I think I probably doubled the throughput. I haven't bent the exhaust louvres yet. I prefer to do stuff like this in small steps. I know there is a lot of potential with totally opening it up and removing the carb adjustment stops but I am not interested in trying to make it run like a pro saw. I just want to open it up a bit and still have it run decent at low and mid engine speeds. Any suggestions on have far I should go with this? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I suppose what I would be wondering is: if the saw has been limited intentionally at the factory, was that taken into account in the design? Because if it was, unthrottling it could possibly overstress it.
