Sticky window felt

The window felt on the inside of the passenger window has become sticky/gummy and is leaving streaks on the window when rolled up/down. It looks like it has deteriorated with age. Attempted to clean the felt and it only became more of a mess.

Has anyone else experienced this or have a solution?

Pull it off and replace it.

@CharlieS thanks for the reply. Have you removed these before, do I need to take apart the door to do it?

Also, any idea on part numbers or how difficult the job is?

I read it too fast earler. The outer seal is easily replaced, but I think the inner one is a part of the door card assembly. I don't know if that part is available by itself.

I had the same issue . I lowered the window all the way down and cut out the bad piece with a razor.

I was never able to find a part number for the inside felt.
