Stereo Head Unit Blowing Dome Light Fuse - Stumped

Assuming a speaker problem that finally reared its head...what are the current model speakers people are using for the front doors? I might as well upgrade again while I am in there. My wife was really jamming the system the day before I fired it up and the fuse blew. I had forgotten about that, but maybe it correlates. I actually turned it down because I thought she was pushing it a bit too hard.

Ok, I am a moron. I had bypassed the factory amp at the harness, but not unplugged it. Problem solved.

Although now my new HU is easily overpowering the PO's speakers, so time for some Pioneers. Sorry for the brain drain.

I was just going to say I literally has this exact same problem and my issue was using all three harnesses when I only needed to use the one (the one utilizing the factory amp)

the older head unit i replaced was aftermarket already so i didn't realize going to a newer one with RCA outputs also negated having to use the straight spliced harness as well. glad you got it fixed i was FURIOUS!
