I agree the newer wheels in the 40 are a bit out of place, but the smaller fatter wheel off the 80 works well with the Saginaw PS in contrast with the old huge wheel with skinny rim. In a resto job I'd have nothing but a stock steering wheel too :)

Did you see the fong steering wheel that came in my 74, Dave? I've been contemplating on getting something more low-key, but it's grown on me and I can't seem to take it off now. :) By the way, I think you should have been a surgeon, Dave...maybe an orthopod with your creativity and dexterity. Just imagine the kid of stuff a Cruiserhead like you could come up with.

If I were a surgeon, I'd be risking my very livelihood everytime I wrench . . . Naaa, I'm poorer but happier.

Mr. Fong would be very proud to see your 74 :)

E-mail me pics of your locker kickpanel please?

Dave

hhhhmm....I like that....and could use a smaller wheel in my rig....nice writeup!

Dave: I'm down-sizing that pic of the kick panel that you wanted...will send it to you tonight. You're right, there is a cutout on top that I haven't noticed before and the back bracket is secured to the body with bolts.
