Steering wheel horn contact ring screws

For anyone who's replaced their ring and it was held in with screws, do you remember what type of screws they were? Looks like since they're going into plastic they would be small diameter sheet metal style screws, but wanted to make sure before I just ram something in there. My ring was held in by melted plastic posts and rather than deal with the frustration of trying to melt them back into place to hold the ring I'm just going to screw it down and call it a day. Replacing both my ring and pin today along with some other things.

Good question, just received my horn ring and contact pin this week. I’ve never had it open.

Okay for anyone else needing to do this, it's easy. The plastic is soft so you don't need self tapping screws. I Dremel'd off the tabs that were melted over the original ring and then used some stainless #6 x 3/8" screws with a drop of blue threadlocker so they won't creep out over time.
