I got the 2.5 Hell Creek Suspension kit, upgraded to Bilstein 5100s..didnt think about replacing what I now see appears to be the original steering stabilizer - I would like to 'match' my shocks and stabilizer and theres this Bilstein 5100 series but I wonder if it will fit ... or if you have suggestions or feedback - (is OEM good, or could I do better?)

I only want to do it once and I want to do it right..Love to hear what ya'll have used.THANKS!

What does it mean to "match" shocks and steering stabilizer? They perform very different functions in different directions. If you want it to be the same color, then get the same brand.

I dont mean same color..that would be KINDA silly, by matching I mean brand - my curiosity is feedback which one someone else purchased...likes? dislikes? good? bad? indifferent? I like sticking with brands that I like - there just doesnt seem to be a specific one by Bilstein that you can run on a 40.

A lot of us (myself included) run a damper even though it might not even be needed anymore (like after a PS conversion). For what it's worth, I doubt that anyone could tell the difference between one damper and the next in a blind test. Shocks are a different story and I think that many people can tell the difference between one brand and another. So the bottom line is that if you think you need a damper, I'd choose a quality brand (OEM or Bilsteins are good) and be done with it. Just my opinion.
