Is it possible to pull steering shaft out of column? Cant say Ive ever gotten into a column this far,

The PO... welded a quick connect steering wheel collar on the shaft.... kind of cool anti-theft... but not loving the little wheel...so Id like to go back to OEM

Thanks in advance.......

Yes but I think it needs to come out the lower end
so if something is welded on the steering wheel end, it would need to be cut off

Ya... thats what I kind of thought......I ordered a 15"wheel ... going to try to that... The little 13" just feels kind of go-cart ish
Thanks for answering up...

you have to disconnect a few bolts inside the cab (at the column and at the point where it goes through the firewall) and disconnect the intermediate shaft, but it pulls out from inside of the cab, not through the engine bay.
