Steering rack - how does it hold up to 35's, 37's...

More often than that :D

We usually have noticeable rack play after 500-1000 race miles. If we were prepping for a 200-400 mile local race (Utah/Nevada) we may leave it as-is but when prepping for any bigger races, it would get a fresh race and outer TRE's FWIW.

Kurt, thank you for the first hand, extreme use case experience! I don't think I'll every be driving at the pace you you all do unless I wind up in something with a cage and all of the fun gear that goes with it. So I'd imgagine it would take me a lot more miles offroad to get the same amount of wear you see after a race.

In terms of the play in the rack, assuming that includes some internal wear (not only the mounting bushings). Pretending you didn't have any rulebook limitations on steering, are there parts of the factory rack that could be "easily" upgraded, would you ever try to go to a swingset, or, would you just keep replacing the factory rack as needed.

Cheers, and if you're racing in the 500 at the end of the month, have a good race and a great time!

Have you guys seen where stellar built relocated their rear shocks on their 200? Looks like a custom hoop. I think it would work with the proper body lift and wheel offset

You should ask @eurosonic

Custom hoop, notched frame, and pretty decent offset to clear it I believe

37’s for almost a year now, power steering pump makes a lot of noise, doesn’t seem happy. Steering rack has some play in it. Planning to swap both out for new ones, just need to find time. I’m definitely not gentle with my LX.

I'm a broken record around here, but my vote is a 200, body lift, tundra arms (regular not long travel), 37s, and send it.
This IS the way!
