I have a '75 with an SBC and a Saginaw conversion. Recently I've noticed a pop in the steering when I'm parked (engine running) and turning the steering wheel. I've
Traced it to my leaf springs. It seems that the leaf springs actually shift when I'm turning the wheels and cause the pop. Is that something I should be concerned about? The leaf springs are stock and seem to have all of the proper retainer clips on them. I can live with the pop, just curious if that is normal.

My "pop" was from the shackle bushings, everytime I would turn the steering wheel my leaf springs would pop due to my bushing being old. Replaced those and no pop!
