Steering Gear Box reinstall question

I just got my SGB back from West Texas Offroad. It looks great. Can anyone tell me if it is necessary to bleed the system after intall. Any thing else I should know before I take it out on the road?

Yes you do need to bleed the system. After it's installed and the pump reservoir filled with fluid, lift the front wheels off the ground, start the engine then turn the steering wheel from lock to lock several times until you bleed the air out. Check to make sure the fluid in the reservoir doesn't drop too far. You can tell you still have air because the bubbles will come back into the reservoir through the return hose and cause a little foaming.
