I'm trying to remove the steering arms so I can add Toyota spacers. I've watched the Tough Dog vid and neither one of mine are falling. Any tricks you guys may know?

you mean this video right?
smack it with a hammer / dead blow

That's it. I soaked both sides with PB blaster overnight. I'm hitting it, but not getting anywhere. Still not moving. I guess I'll go back and add some harsh english.

I can't get the video to open at work, but what spacers are you adding that you need to take off the tie rods?

started video on my phone....you don't need to take off the tie rods. they are a B!+*#....
mark the lower control arm adjuster cam bolts, then loosen the bolts, do not remove. take the lower two bolts off the lower control arm to steering knuckle. now you can pull the steering knucle and spindle/brake up and out of the way. use bailing wire or several zip ties to keep from hanging it from the brake line. now you should be able to remove the top four bolts on the strut. install the spacer and use the floor jack to lift it up and start the bolts.
put the spindle bolts back in and tighten. set the vehicle on the ground and torque the lower control arm bolts. get an alignment.

Do NOT hit the threads directly. I'd even suggest going to the hardware store and buying a sacrificial nut to go over the threads. Take the new nut, and thread it on the the tie rod end, but leave a few of the inner threads on the nut exposed. Then beat the s*** out of it with a big effen hammer. Try a little heat too.

Then remove the beat to hell sacrificial nut, and replace with OE castle nut when you reassemble after the lift.

Love your technical instruction descriptions!! LOL!! :deadhorse::hillbilly:

TexAZ is exactly correct. You can use this method to add the spacer or replace the struts. Used the method many times.
The only issue with this method is if your LCA bolts are frozen. As I've said, if you live anywhere where salt is put on roads take apart your UCAs and anti seize everything. That was an expensive fix
