There are two starters available for my '96 cruiser.

What's the right part number for this year cruiser.

I recall reading in this forum that there were three starters of different power, 1.4kW, 2.0kW and 2.2kW for just one model year.

So far I found Its the one with higher amperage 281006606084 , I'm still looking to be sure.

That part no. Is for the 2.0 KW, that Is the one you want. The other Is a 1.4 KW The one you want Is priced at 209.72 at Toyota parts zone .com

The 2.2 was only available for the 1993 model year. That leaves the 2.0 and the 1.4. I'd go with the higher amps. I believe both will fit and only available as rebuilt from toyota.

Starter and radiator. 2 jobs on an 80 that suck. I have a deep socket stuck on my top bolt that I gave up trying to get off. It's there if I ever need to do it again
