Will you still be able to tow the 40 and the off-road trailer at the same time?

Uh-oh!?

Gonna have to spin that little trailer around by hand up there, or make a connection between the front of the 40 and the back of the little trailer and push it up there that way, or ?

already considering all that. it looks like I will have to triple tow it. either put a receiver on the flatbed trailer or hook the little one to the cruiser hitch. tongue will be a bit high, I'll have to try it to see.

or eventually get a longer flatbed!

I haven't checked if it will fit facing forward as Steve suggested as well. I can easily spin it once on the flatbed. I load it by hand anyway.

Just about done with the trailer! table in the swing out is done. I only need 2 twist latches and it's done. I'll start with the Ford Ham connections and FJ40 mods tomorrow.

Did you get some weatherstripping for around the lid? Even with that the front box on our pop-up got dusty inside the box. I'd put some weatherstripping on the underside of the lid, chalk the rim on the box, and make sure the chalk comes through well on the weatherstripping when you latch it down, or put another layer of weatherstripping on it... It could be a might dusty out there. It is in all the movies anyway. ;)

see the pic above with the weather stripping. I expect some dust still, but should be better than without. it is on both front and rear boxes.

Bueno. Did you chalk it? I have an extra roll I will bring just in case.

Good Job:cheers:

sorry, I'm not sure what you are asking. an extra roll of weather stripping?

Steve I reread your post and see what you were asking. I did not chalk it to test it. but I can't really add more weather stipping. there isn't enough room. it does sound very air tight when I close the lid though.

We'll find out anyway...

well, it's too long to face forward on the flat bed. I can hook it nose high to the cruiser and triple tow it, but there's no tail lights that way. maybe I can quickly rig up some wire extensions today. and a plug... I may have all the parts necessary in the garage anyway.

My experience with nose high towing is that it's unstable. Can you weld a receiver to the trailer?
