There is nothing special about pigmented full grain leather other than the inherent durability characteristics. No marketer/corporation would brag about the plain but solid stuff.

Semi-aniline and aniline are marketed for the “upper crust” folks who drool over the fanciest (but not most durable) of leathers.

Think “fine Corinthian leather.” Suckers lined up for that too.


Heck, the seats are going to wear out before the truck if you are lucky.
I understand but you started this thread saying how good the HE leather is. It is not. It is like any leather found in other Toyota.

Suckers? One is born every minute as the saying goes. Some on here (not me) have said the same thing about those who pay more $$$$ to get HE to have less features and luxury than a “regular” LC200.

I bet the debate over the leather will continue for many years. Maybe someday we will see how well the HE leather holds up in comparison.

Until then, I’m going to try my best to live by the words my parents would tell me; “If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say it!”

Easier said than done! Ha! 😉
